Welcome to our travelogue. We are a family of four on a Sabbatical trip around North America. The first part takes place in Europe, but the bulk of our travels will be around Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central America. Our route is not fully defined yet and will evolve as the journey progresses.
The idea of a Sabbatical was born during harsh winter of early 2011. The goal is simple: spend time together as Family, visit scenic places, learn new skills and meet interesting people. Since we can’t really afford it, we are adopting a truly frugal lifestyle and experiment with ways to earn a living on the road. We home-, or rather road-school our children, we all learn Spanish, yoga, cooking, photography, writing and many other skills. We blog about our experiences to keep all our friends and Family up-to-date. We’d love you to become our friend too!
Before the trip we used to live in a beautiful little town of Livonia in upstate New York. Originally however, we are from Silesia, a region in southern Poland. Because of our background, the stories, we share with you in our blog offer a slightly different twist, which we hope you will enjoy. We encourage you to comment on every single one of them!
